With the right songs - and wth our equalizer set to minimize th bass - thes beats Studio James Headphones sound great. They block ut a ton f noise (not as much as the Bose 15's, but mor than nearly an other style I trid n this price range), and yu rell gt a lot of depth and detail n the music.

That said, I found that I rll needed the equalizer in iTunes set to "treble booster" r "bass reducer" or smething similar, or ls the wr just painful t wear fr extended periods due t th heavy, heavy bass. It Monster Beats Tour would hv been OK, except tht thr is no equalizer fr Pandora on iPhone - I was stuck wth wa to muh bass, and no wy to change Powerbeats Headphones.

So, f yu lik really, rell heavy bass, thee mght b perfect. Otherwise, I'd check out the ($300) Bose 15's, B&W's - r d wht I did and pick u pair of Skullcandy
